We hoped that our film would positively impact the pending litigation and prevent the State of Ohio from attempting to execute Romell Broom a second time.

He should have been granted clemency due to his unfair trial and his death sentence should have been commuted to life in prison.

For Romell Broom any help coming would be too late. While awaiting his second execution, he died on December 28, 2020 on death row of possible complications of COVID-19, the state prisons system said.

We hope that our film shows the full tragedy of his case. Romell Broom should never have been on death row in the first place.
